Dan Haire, President, Navian Hawaii

Navian Hawaii

Dan Haire is the President and CEO of Navian Hawaii, bringing more than a decade of progressive experience across clinical care, healthcare operations, and executive leadership. A BSN-prepared nurse with an MBA, he blends hands-on clinical expertise with a deep understanding of healthcare systems, regulatory frameworks, and financial stewardship.

 

Since assuming the CEO role in 2024, Dan has guided Navian Hawaii in expanding access to hospice and palliative care, advancing innovative care delivery models, and strengthening partnerships across Hawaii’s healthcare community. His work spans patient care, chronic disease management, care coordination, quality improvement and compliance within Medicare and other federal programs.

 

Dan is known for his thoughtful, collaborative leadership and his ability to translate complex healthcare challenges into practical, patient-centered solutions. His combination of tactical experience and strategic vision continues to make him an impactful advocate for improving healthcare delivery, strengthening system efficiency and supporting the well-being of our Hawaii communities.

Let's Serve at Keauhou Shelter

Volunteers Needed

Join the Rotary Club of Hickam Pearl Harbor as we serve our friends at the Keauhou Shelter.

Setup begins at 6:00pm.

About Keauhou Shelter

Keauhou (Keauhou means “a new beginning”) is located at 1020 Isenberg St in Honolulu (Map). We accept walk-ins and referrals based on availability. Walk-ins can come as early as 8:30 a.m. to fill out an intake pre-application. If space is available, staff will schedule a new time for applicant to return to complete the admission paperwork (no later than 4 p.m.).

Keauhou provides emergency housing using the Housing First model. This model allows us to enroll clients straight from the street and assist them once they are housed. Keauhou holds 75 clients in a dormitory-type arrangement with shared bathrooms and showers, shared kitchen, and laundry spaces.

Services include:

  • Emergency shelter for couples and individuals
  • Housing placement assistance
  • Job training
  • Obtain documents (State ID, social security card, etc.)
  • Mail services

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Homeless or at risk of being homeless.

Stair Decal Project at Dole Middle School

Join the Rotary Club HPH for a special campus beautification project at Dole Middle School as we help install decorative stair decals, similar to those at Kalihi Elementary School!

We are partnering with Metro Rotary Club member Eugene Price, who will supervise the installation process. This project will enhance the school environment through stair decals designed for long-term durability, education and school pride.

Volunteer Details:

  • Members of the Dole Interact Club (8 students) will help with the installation
  • This is a limited-volunteer project requiring only a small group of helpers
  • We're seeking up to 9 adult volunteers 
  • Volunteers will assist under direct supervision from vendor
  • Tasks include surface preparation, decal application, and finishing work

Schedule:

  • Training (~20 minutes): Led by Eugene Price & his wife covering surface prep, decal placement, and sealing techniques
  • Project Work (~2 hours): Volunteers will assist with installation, sealing, and finishing
  • A sign-in area will be set up upon arrival

What to Wear:

  • Comfortable work clothing suitable for light construction/installation work
  • Closed-toe shoes

Project Details:

  • Volunteers will assist with hands-on installation of decorative decals on school stairs
  • Step-by-step instructions for the entire process will be given
  • Materials & supplies will be provided by the Rotary club of HPH through our district grant
  • Food and drinks provided for all volunteers

 

**Rotarian Members Only – Youth Protection Requirement:
Any Rotary Club member working with youth must complete a background check through the district. The club will reimburse the cost once the background check is completed through the official district process.
