No Pet Left Behind, Animal Abandonment in Hawaii

The Hawaiian Humane Society has created an educational presentation on animal abandonment and would like to share it with the Rotary Club of Hickam Pearl Harbor. The abandonment of pets is an avoidable cause of animal suffering that unfortunately remains too common in our community. The purpose of the presentation is to encourage people to make better choices. Our “No Pet Left Behind” presentation takes less than 15 minutes and centers on a positive message about alternatives to pet ownership for animal lovers whose time on island is limited, as well as stories about the wide range of animals who find new homes on our campus every day.
