May 08, 2021 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Our first group community service project since the pandemic is scheduled on May 8th, from 8:00 to noon. It entails sloping of the concrete curbing around the playground and the rec center area at Kahauiki Village, a low-income family housing development that Rotary has been involved with for the last couple of years. We will be working with two other clubs and will need a group of 10 members from our club to complete the project. The materials will be provided and we will be digging up and moving sod squares to the location of the playground and leveling the sod and gravel. Please sign up as soon as possible if you can help. Mahalo, Allen Kamemoto |

Waiau Elementary School - Campus BeautificationJoin us at Waiau Elementary School on Saturday, July 31st for a campus beautifcation service project. We are trying to prepare this school in Pearl City for the start of the new school year. The project involves stenciling social distancing markers in the areas that students normally queue for things like waiting for their rides, cafeteria areas, and areas around the school. We may do other projects to get the school ready for socially distancing. If time permits, we will do some general cleaning such as weeding and clearing. The stencils and the spray paint for the markers will be proided and I will bring gloves and some tools for the cleanup areas. Don't forget to bring a hat, and sunscreen and a hydraflask for water. We will have a water jug for refills. This will be a great time for us to hang out in the open air and do some good for the community. |
