Join the Rotary Club of Hickam Pearl Harbor and our corporate sponsor, simplicityHR by ALTRES (ALTRES, Inc & ALTRES Foundation) at the Kahauiki Village to help with distributing food boxes to the residents on Friday, November 6 @ 9:00am. Beginning at 9:30, ALTRES will deliver pallets of food boxes that will contain:
Boxes weigh roughly 40lbs. Volunteers will help unload the boxes from the palets and then deliver the boxes to the units. Not all residents will sign up to receive a box, therefore Volunteers will work with Kahauiki Village/IHS staff to identify where each box will go. Upon delivering the food boxes, if the residents are not home, you may leave the boxes at their doors. All volunteers will be required to wear masks, gloves, and practice physical distancing. Volunteers will also be asked to sign up to ensure properly contact trace. The morning of the of event, volunteers will receive a text message from WellnessTracker.com to complete a wellness check. These custom ear savers are made by HPH Charter Members, Emilie and Dennis Smith and is engraved with the message "Donated by Rotary Clubs of Hawaii." The Rotary Club of Hickam Pearl Harbor is collecting items for an undisclosed shelter for the upcoming Holiday season. Below are the items that we are collecting in new or slightly used conditions:
Items can be dropped off with Kim Castillo at Bowers and Kubota (94-408 Akoki Street Waipahu). Please contact Kim prior to delivery or dropoff. The Thanksgiving Dinner ingredients will be delivered on Sunday, November 22 by a small group of Rotarians. All other items will continue to be accepted and will be delivered in mid-December. |

Join your HPH Ohana at Emilie and Dennis' house on Saturday, December 5th from 2-5pm for some food, wine, fellowship, and a service project. Jana and Allen have been working on acquiring items to donate to Kalihi Elementary School. Before we deliver it to the school, we are going to create HPH Toy Boxes to put the toys in. Sign up and join us for a safely distanced gathering. Please bring a dish or beverage to share. |

We have a project to help the Women In Need organization to receive donations and some furniture has been donated and need to be transported. I have rented a van, but need manpower to bring down 2 dressers, two twin beds, a recliner, a love seat and a table from a condo and load onto the van. The pick up is on the Chaminade University grounds and I will have a separate crew to unload the furniture in Pearl City. Please sign up or let me know your availability. Mahalo, Allen Kamemoto |

Saturday, March 13, 2021 @ 5:30 PM (room opens at 5:00 pm) It's time for Virtual Trivia with your favorite Rotarians. Join us for a fundraiser that benefits the Rotary Club of Hickam Pearl Harbor and the works of the club, their continued partnership with Kalihi Elementary School and the Kalihi Community. With your donation, you will receive a unique link that allows your team entry into an online forum to play trivia and win prizes. You will receive one link per team (and a team consists of up to five participants on a single camera, no worries if you're on your own). On that Saturday, support your favorite local restaurant by grabbing takeout and prepare to show off your knowledge about the popular television show, Friends. Room opens at 5pm. Additional details will be sent before the event. Suggested donation $20. |
