David Mozdren, the Rotary District 5000 Foundation Chair, spoke to club members about the Rotary Foundation.  The 501C3 foundation is ranked one of the top 10 charitable foundations in the world (Charity Navigator 4 stars) and supports local, district, and global grants and projects that enable Rotarians to do good at home and in the world.

During the past 100 years, the Foundation has spent $3 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.  With each donation, Rotary is able to make lives better in your community and around the world.  More than 90% of donations go directly to supporting service projects around the world.  The unique structure of the foundation, allows for giving to the annual program fund to support the work and projects of Rotary International for 3 years at which time the money is then cycled back to the districts and clubs from whence the donations came to go to further support local projects.
